For the price, we were hoping for a table that was already assembled, but I don't mind putting together furniture, so we ordered the 5' table, stained. It was VERY difficult to assemble because many of the parts were misalinged. It was also sticky upon arrival and the hole for the umbrella was not treated with the stain.

The stain used is water based stain with a sealer in it.
